Subletting my apartment.
That's right everybody, Latch Out Loud has followed the lead of the rest of the world and has succumbed to the forces of corporate soul sucking...also known as advertising. Those of you who are keen readers of the blog might have just thought "Yeamax, CC has already done a post on book bag advertising!" Well, that was all about the concept of advertising; it wasn't an actual advertisement on the blog. Have we at Latch Out Loud sold our souls to the corporate shills that pervade so many aspects of our day-to-day lives? In short, no.
Now I'm not sure how well this is going to be received (I haven't told any of the other ladz about this), but I don't really give two shakes of a weasel. I'm gonna be out of town for a spell this spring, and I would really like to get a few hundred bones outta my apartment while I'm gone. Yes, I'm subletting my apartment, but only for the month of May.
Now I know your first worry probably has something to do with me not posting while I'm gone. Au contraire, mon ami! When I travel, I travel alone. What is there to do when you're alone, you can't speak the native language of any of the countries you're visiting, and all your fellow hostel-goers just want you to stop trying to make friends with them? You cry. And then after that, you write stuff in a travel journal. Or at least that's what I do. So there will be updates, not to worry.
Anyways, the ad I made for my apartment sublet kinda reads like a blog post, plus I'm into shameless self-promotion and whoring myself dry. Also, there's nothing that would warm my heart more than to have a Latch Out Loud reader live in my place for a month (we'd probably have to arrange a guest blog so you could document the experience).
